Sanuki Udon Taniya in Ningyocho is a popular udon shop that's known for its long lines, but on a rainy day, I was lucky enough to walk right in without the wait! This place serves up some of the best Sanuki-style udon in town, with chewy, perfectly cooked noodles that are both satisfying and delicious.

I ordered the beef udon and an egg tempura on the side. The udon was wonderfully chewy and had just the right amount of bite, while the beef was tender and flavorful. The egg tempura was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, a perfect addition to the meal. The portion sizes are huge, so you’ll definitely get your fill!
