Spirited Away Atmosphere at this Greenhouse with Tasty Thai Food at Treasure Thai Horizon Hills

#summervacay Treasure Thai at Horizon Hills, Skudai, is a truly unique dining spot that effortlessly blends nature, whimsy, and authentic Thai flavors. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a farmhouse-style greenhouse space that feels like it’s been lifted straight from a Totoro anime scene — lush greenery surrounds you, creating a peaceful oasis that invites you to slow down and soak in the atmosphere.

Nestled within Fika Farmhouse, the ambiance here is one of the restaurant’s standout features. During the day, sunlight filters softly through the glass roof, illuminating the plants and giving everything a fresh, natural glow. But the magic really happens after sunset. Around 6:30 pm, the space transforms into a fairy-lit wonderland, reminiscent of a scene from Spirited Away. Twinkling lights drape overhead, casting a romantic and almost otherworldly glow. It’s the perfect setting for a laid-back evening, whether you’re there for a casual dinner or a special night out. Just remember to bring mosquito repellent — the lush greenery and open-air feel do attract a few bugs.

Food-wise, Treasure Thai doesn’t disappoint. We enjoyed the green curry pork chop, a rich and flavorful dish that balanced creamy coconut milk with the fragrant spices of Thai curry. The tomyam mama noodles delivered that signature spicy, sour punch, comforting and perfectly balanced. The street food platter was a great way to sample a variety of classic bites, each bursting with authentic flavors. And for just RM3, the Thai boat noodles were surprisingly satisfying — a real bargain and a must-try.

Adding to the charm is the friendly resident cat that roams the space, giving the place a cozy, homey vibe that makes you feel instantly welcome. Plus, there’s a projector at the front where movie screenings add a fun, communal touch to the dining experience, especially in the evenings.

Overall, Treasure Thai at Horizon Hills offers more than just a meal — it’s an experience. With its farmhouse, nature-inspired aesthetic, anime-like charm, and solid Thai dishes, it’s a place that invites you to linger, enjoy good food, and soak up the enchanting atmosphere of Skudai after dark.
