📍Access
・Location: København K (Copenhagen city center). This pedestrian street stretches approximately 1.1 km from City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen) to Nyhavn.
・Nearest Metro Station: Gammel Strand or Kongens Nytorv. It's also within walking distance of Central Station.
🎨Winter Attractions & Things to Do
・When I visited around the end of October, many shops were already in a Christmas mood!
・From around mid-November, the entire street is decked out in Christmas decorations, and at night, the lights sparkle, creating a photogenic spot.
・Nordic brand shops, department stores, and cafes line the street, making it a winter staple to stroll around with a hot chocolate in hand while shopping.
・With the increasing number of street musicians and food stalls, you can experience Copenhagen's warm holiday atmosphere just by walking.
・The evening and night illuminations are especially recommended. The beautiful lights in the windows and Christmas trees create a picturesque scene no matter where you frame your shot.
💡Quick Tips
- It gets crowded in December, but just after sunset (around 4-5 PM) isn't too crowded and is a great time for photos.
- There's a lot of cobblestone ground, so wear warm, comfortable shoes.
- If you walk to the end of the street, in front of the Royal Theatre or around Nyhavn, you can enjoy an even more romantic night view.
