🎡Meet the ‘Dream Doll’ we loved back then again – Daejeon Dream Doll House

#KoreaGuide #DaejeonKumdoli
⭐Rating (out of 5): ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

✈️Travel Review:
I was excited to meet 'Kumdoli', the mascot of the 1993 Daejeon Expo, and visited Daejeon Kumdoli House. With a yellow body and a bubbly expression, it was more touching than I thought to meet a character I had only seen on old VHSs in a real space. The exhibition hall is not large, but it is filled with goods, photos, and Expo-related materials from that time, stimulating nostalgia. It's the perfect place to share memories with kids!

📍How to get there:
Within 5 minutes on foot from Daejeon Station

🌿Attractions:
Hanbit Tower
Expo Science Park
National Science Museum
Cafe Expo (Kkumdoli Emotional Cafe)

🏨Hotel:
Daejeon Lotte City Hotel (near Government Complex Station)
Or possible to connect with hotels in the Yuseong Hot Springs area of Daejeon

🍽️Recommended food & restaurants:
• Seongsimdang (Fried soboro, chive bread - near Daejeon Station)
• Yuseong Hot Springs Kalguksu Alley (Hot kalguksu perfect for a meal after a hot spring)
• Daeheung-dong Central Market (Local food such as bindae-tteok, sundae gukbap, etc.)

🛍️Shopping information:
You can purchase goods at the souvenir corner inside Kkumdoli House
→ Stickers, eco bags, postcards, and other retro items! I also recommend bread gifts from the Daejeon Station Seongsimdang Bakery

👍🏻Recommended traveler style:
• 30~40s with childhood expo memories
• Families who want to experience retro with their children
• People who are serious about cute local mascots
• Travelers who include a science museum course along with an outing near Daejeon

🥰One-line travel destination review:
A small but heartfelt time travel where the innocence of those days is still alive and breathing!
