A must-visit spot in Daejeon, Chungnam National University
The lawns and zelkova tree-lined paths are absolutely beautiful.
Especially during this cool weather, it's perfect for a walk!

Even as a non-student, I felt a youthful vibe 😌
The area in front of the central library is a recommended photo spot!

2. 💧 Foot Bath Experience at Yuseong Hot Springs

A short walk brings you to the Yuseong Hot Springs foot bath area.
It's free, clean, and warm—perfect for relieving fatigue.
Local seniors often visit, and it's fun to listen to their small talk 😄

The water temperature is just right, and the flowing water ensures good hygiene!

3. 🏙️ Exploring Bongmyeong-dong's Charming Streets

These days, Bongmyeong-dong is the trendy neighborhood in Daejeon.
It's filled with charming spots like small cafes, photo zones, and curated shops.

There was a cute cafe with yellow walls,
and I also visited a secondhand bookstore that doubles as an exhibition space.
"Does Daejeon have places like this?!"—a surprising charm✨

4. 🍗 Dasarang Chicken (Bongmyeong-dong Main Branch)

A true local favorite in Daejeon
If you're in Bongmyeong-dong, you must visit the Dasarang Chicken main branch.

The chicken is crispy, old-school whole fried chicken style,
and the seasoned fries are simply divine…🍟
The three of us ordered one whole chicken and fries, and we devoured it all.

Pair it with a can of beer for the ultimate experience 🙈

5. 🍲 A Hearty Meal at Taepyeong Beef Soup

For dinner, we headed to Taepyeong Beef Soup, located in the Taepyeong-dong beef soup street.

The soup was clean and flavorful, with no off-putting smell from the innards.
Pair it with radish kimchi, and you'll find yourself finishing every last drop.
It's so comforting, it even feels like a perfect hangover cure.

Ending the day on a sweet note~
Le Pain 99 is a popular local bakery in Daejeon.

Both their desserts and meal breads are excellent,
and their croissants and Earl Grey madeleines are must-tries!
