If you're looking for an active way to explore Erhai Lake, cycling is an absolute must-do. We rented electric scooters and rode along the scenic ecological corridor that hugs the lake's western shore. The path is well-maintained and provides stunning panoramic views of the water, the surrounding villages, and the mountains. We stopped at several small villages, like Xizhou, to explore the traditional Bai architecture and grab some local snacks. It's a fantastic way to see the various landscapes around the lake and find hidden spots for great photos.
