Sleep in the scenery—this Shuanglang guesthouse offers a 180-degree unbeatable sea view

On the streets of Shuanglang Ancient Town in Dali,
there’s a popular guesthouse that completely won me over!
This time, staying at the Dali Gugu Meimei Sea View Giant Screen Hotel (Erhai Shuanglang Branch) felt like my happy home,
where you can enjoy the breeze of Erhai Lake and watch the sunset right from the room,
and the public areas hide countless perfect photo spots💯

👉Location and Transportation
This hotel is right in the heart of Shuanglang Ancient Town, just a 5-minute walk from Shuanglang Middle School;
although it’s an ancient town, transportation is very convenient. We took a taxi from Dali Station, which took about 40 minutes. It’s also super close for an evening stroll to the town to enjoy stone slab barbecue~

✨Highly Recommended Reasons
1. The room design is minimalist ins style with smart home features. You can lie in bed and watch Erhai documentaries via projector, and the smart toilet with a warm seat feels so cozy and happy.
2. Our 180° sea view room has a private balcony, and every day at 5 PM, the “Erhai Sunset Theater” begins, with that lonely tree in the lake🌳 serving as nature’s perfect backdrop🖼️
3. The butler service is top-notch, offering a complimentary travel photo shoot + 5 edited photos upon check-in, and in the evening, they warmly serve silver ear soup. Even the washing machine has a drying function (a must-have during Yunnan’s rainy season).

📸 Photo Hotspots List
• Rooftop terrace: Capture the sea and sky meeting on clear days, and enjoy a unique charm on rainy days
• Room balcony: Wrap yourself in a bathrobe for a lazy morning vibe photo, and remember to play “Go to Dali” on the room’s Bluetooth speaker as the background music
• Waterside beach area: Pretend you’re on a seaside vacation⛱️, wearing bright-colored dresses for even better photos

🍰 Foodie Perks
Must praise their breakfast rice noodles and the layered tiramisu for afternoon tea;
when you’re too lazy to go out, just order room service—delivery goes straight to your room, and the matsutake chicken soup warms your stomach💗

⚠️ Tips
• Remember to book sea view rooms at least 1 month in advance (rooms with projectors are the most popular)
• The ancient town’s stone slab roads are inconvenient for dragging luggage, so be sure to ask the butler for pick-up and drop-off service
• The best photo lighting is between 4-6 PM on sunny days; cloudy days are better for moody shots
• Within a 20-minute walk, you can reach the Sun Palace and Moon Palace, making it convenient for a quick visit

A hotel that takes comfort and aesthetics to the extreme,
whether you’re lying down watching the sea or taking photos to share, it satisfies all needs.
I want a dozen of guesthouses like this!
