Dali is ready for Chinese New Year

Getting ready for the Chinese New Year of the Tiger, Dali Ancient Town dressed up with red lampions, red door decorations, door gods, burning insence sticks at the gates and pine branches hung on them.

On the 31st of January small businesses closed pretty early and they prepared for their celebration of the Chinese New Year. When we strolled around in the ancient city in the afternoon, there were only a few shops opened.

During the night of the Chinese New Year, everyone was eager to set firecrackers and celebrate. But in the morning, everything got cleaned up really quickly.
