Dandong is a city in Liaoning Province, northeastern China, situated on the border with North Korea along the Yalu River. Dandong is a vital border city due to its proximity to North Korea. The Yalu River serves as a natural boundary, and the city has a view of the North Korean city of Sinuiju across the river. A railway bridge connects Dandong with Sinuiju and serves as a transportation link between the two countries. More so, Dandong is home to a portion of the Great Wall of China known as the Hushan Great Wall. It runs along the Yalu River and offers scenic views of both China and North Korea.
