National key cultural relic protection unit - Yangpu Salt Field.

Yangpu Salt Field is located on the beach 100 meters southeast of Yantian Village, Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Hainan Province, close to Xinying Bay. The salt fields were built in the early Northern Song Dynasty and have a history of more than 1,200 years. There are 6,171 salt troughs and 122 brine pools. It is the earliest existing solar salt-making site in my country and the last ancient salt field in my country that retains the original solar salt-making method, recreating the ancient Chinese industry and civilization.
The Yangpu Salt Fields are an important carrier and strong support for local economic and social development and cultural construction, and provide precious physical materials for the study of the development history of the salt industry in Hainan and China.

On March 5, 2013, Yangpu Salt Field was announced as a national key cultural relic protection site by the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
