With half of my life left, I finally reached the legendary sacred Milk Sea🥰

Milk Lake, located in the Yading Nature Reserve in Daocheng, Sichuan, is also called Errongcuo/ancient glacial lake. It is shaped like a water droplet, covers an area of 0.5 hectares, and has an altitude of 4,600 meters.
The Milk Sea is located in the valley of Yangmaiyong. It is shaped like a scallop, with azure blue water in the middle and a circle of milky white surrounding it - hence the name "Milk Sea".
Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the lake is clear and blue, and the mountains end in waterfalls. It is famous for its exquisite and elegant emerald blue water. There is a large glacier above Erongcuo❄️
Legend has it that this is a holy lake that can cure deafness and dumbness🔮
Legend has it that the whiter the water in the outermost layer of Orongcuo Lake is, the better the weather, good harvests, thriving livestock, and harmonious families and businesses will be in the future. If the lake water becomes more transparent, the result will be the opposite. Therefore, in the past people often came here to observe the color of the lake to know the conditions of the coming year.
I brought 3 oxygen tanks, but I didn't get to breathe a breath.
Although the process was extremely hard
Stop frequently to rest and regulate your breathing
But it was worth it when I saw the Milk Sea.
Milk Sea waves
Sparkling like a diamond in the sunlight✨
Dazzling
Although I just went to Jiuzhaigou
There is some truth in the saying "Don't look at water after returning from Jiuzhaigou"
But the beauty of the Milk Sea is comparable
There is a sacred beauty in it
Others may see the picture and say "Ah... so beautiful"
But what I saw with my own eyes was so beautiful that it was unrealistic.
It is like a fairyland, a paradise, and a masterpiece of nature.
I can't describe the actual beauty of the Milk Sea.
It took about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get there from Luorong Ranch (should it be faster than the official estimate?)
Purifying the bitterness behind the eyes...
I used to feel like I couldn't make it.
I once felt like I would faint in the next second.
In the end, I managed to hold on and didn’t give up, and my companions encouraged and accompanied me🫰🏻
Welcome your own sea of milk
It is the most beautiful water in my heart
The most beautiful sea 🌊
The most beautiful lake 🌄
(All pictures have not been retouched or colored)
PS: To challenge the Milky Sea, you can choose to go there on horseback or on foot. (Round trip fee for horse riding has been adjusted from RMB 300 to RMB 500)
10 km round trip hike
Climbing the Milk Sea is time-consuming and laborious
The actual situation also depends on the different physical tolerance of each person.
After all, it is not easy to keep going up at high altitudes.
Most people will also experience altitude sickness
Focus on keeping warm, preferably with a backpack
Bring water/glucose/energy drinks/energy bars, etc. (I personally think cola can also relieve altitude sickness)
But for safety reasons, you should bring an oxygen tank
Don't be too anxious on the return trip. Don't take it lightly.
