The Jianchuan Museum Cluster's Flying Tigers Museum is a museum dedicated to commemorating the American Volunteer Group (AVG), also known as the Flying Tigers, who aided China during World War II. The museum aims to showcase the history of the joint Chinese and American resistance against Japanese invaders.
1. Historical Background
The Flying Tigers, officially known as the American Volunteer Group (AVG), were formed in 1941 by retired US military officer Claire Lee Chennault. They assisted the Chinese Air Force during the Second Sino-Japanese War.
The Flying Tigers were known for their P-40 fighter planes with shark mouth designs. They played a significant role in the defense of the Burma Road and the Hump airlift, contributing greatly to China's victory in the war.

Artifacts: The museum displays historical artifacts such as flight gear, military uniforms, medals, letters, and weapons used by the Flying Tigers.
