Lost Villa·Biwu is located in Biwu Village at the northern foot of Moganshan in Deqing County, Zhejiang Province, nestled deep within a sea of bamboo, epitomizing the idyllic mountain lifestyle of northern Zhejiang. Far from tourist crowds, this serene retreat offers only the gentle murmur of mountain springs and the rustling of bamboo shadows. Self-driving visitors can easily reach the villa via Provincial Highway 304, where the journey itself feels like stepping into the "forgotten paradise" described in the *Classic of Mountains and Seas*, with babbling streams and wisps of cooking smoke along the way.
Renowned for its "foreign-style homestay" aesthetic, Lost Villa features six villas built into the mountainside, transformed from old dwellings while preserving their original wooden structures. Modern industrial elements like metal roofs and wire mesh partitions blend seamlessly, with each villa uniquely designed by different architects. Today, these six villas (including one restaurant and one café) are scattered across the hillside, their white walls and black tiles harmonizing with the bamboo forest, framed by endless greenery and rolling mountains.
Only 24 rooms are distributed among the six villas, each housing 3-5 guestrooms to accommodate families of varying sizes. Rooms are named after solar terms like Grain Rain and Lesser Fullness, with bamboo groves visible right outside the windows. Some rooms feature fireplaces, terraces, or balconies overlooking mountain vistas or starry skies. Each villa comes with a dedicated butler to handle luggage storage and itinerary planning with ease.
A healing mountain retreat~ Follow the streams and bamboo-lined paths to explore Biwu Village’s hidden gems, encountering wild delights and morning mist along the way. The butlers recommend cultural landmarks like Ginkgo Square and the community library, where guests can immerse themselves in the village’s artistic pulse. Villa No. 5 includes a children’s play area and outdoor BBQ zone, perfect for gatherings or family bonding. An open-concept library houses thousands of books, inviting impromptu reading sessions on the staircase landings.
"Pushing open the wooden window, the mountain breeze carries the fresh scent of bamboo leaves inside as the butler brings freshly picked bayberries: ‘This year’s harvest is especially sweet.’ As night falls, gather around the firepit roasting corn, the flickering flames revealing why the gods in the *Classic of Mountains and Seas* fought over this land—Lost Villa is truly a hidden paradise on earth."
