A short break at One&Only Desaru Coast

A short retreat yesterday to One&Only Desaru Coast where nature and modern architecture seamlessly merge, preserving much of the original vegetation for an elegant and wild ambiance. Designed by the late, renowned architect Kerry Hill, known for his iconic hotels, the resort pays homage to his legacy with its use of clean lines and raw materials.

During our stay, we stayed in one of their 42 Junior Suites, featuring a personal plunge pool that separates two charming bungalow-style structures. One is a lavish bedroom adorned with a spacious sunroom overlooking the South China Sea, while the other is an extravagant bathroom with a oversized soaking tub and exclusive amenities for both him and her. Moreover, the resort boasts two magnificent Grand Suites and a celebrated 4-bedroom villa known as Villa One.

We were here at @oodesarucoast also because of their second edition of the EMBER CURATES: In Good Spirits series at @emberbeachclub. This event showcased a collaborative dinner led by Chef-Owner @chefryanclift from @tipplingclub and Chef @chefbee_palmer , @emberbeachclub ’s Chef de Cuisine. They presented a four-course seasonal menu blending avant-garde gastronomy with modern Australian influences. To elevate the dining experience, Head Bartender @arathorn.grey crafted a selection of specially curated cocktails designed to complement the dinner menu.
