Dongyang Famous Mountain: Dongbai Mountain

✅ Highlights:
1. Dongbai Mountain is located on the southern slope of the Kuaiji Mountain Range. It is the most famous mountain in Dongyang and the highest peak in Dongyang City. The main peak, Taibai Peak, is 1,194 meters above sea level. It is the "ridge" of central Zhejiang and a symbol of the ancient Yue culture originating from Kuaiji.
2. After reaching the top, you can see the combination of alpine meadows and windmills along the ridge line: the reeds sway in the wind like waves, and the windmills turn with the wind, forming the iconic "publicity photo" of Dongbai Mountain (I went in winter, but I think it would be more beautiful in spring and summer).
3. In winter, when the temperature is low, you can see large and small ice waterfalls and icicles hanging on the mountain during the hike.
4. Walk through canyons and pine forests.

✅ Location: Liaozhai Village (about 45 km from Zhuji Station)
✅ Transportation: 2.5 hours by bus from Zhuji, 1 hour and 10 minutes by taxi (carpooling is recommended)
✅ Route: Search for Dongbai Mountain Loop on the map (from Liaozhai Village to Liaozhai Village)
✅ Difficulty: 🌟🌟 (13.88 km in total, with a cumulative climb of 946 meters)

✅ Tips:
1. For self-driving visitors, it is recommended to take the loop and park your car in Liaozhai Village.
2. If you come down early, you can have a bowl of snow vegetable and shredded pork noodles in the noodle shop in the village, which is quite good!
3. If you don't like climbing and want to go directly to the main peak, Taibai Peak, to enjoy the scenery, you can go directly to the top of the mountain and walk a short distance up the stairs after parking.
4. There are only supplies at the entrance of the village and the top of the mountain, so prepare food according to your own situation.
5. It is windy at the top of the mountain, so be sure to keep warm.
