Visit Chengdu, the city of pandas. If you don't see a real panda, it's like you haven't been there. Chengdu has many panda conservation centers. Even in Chengdu, there are a lot of people there, very crowded, very crowded. Plus, you don't get to get close to the pandas.
So we chose to go to Panda Valley in Dujiangyan instead because there are fewer tourists here. It's outside the city, so you can get closer to the pandas. Most importantly, the air is very good. It's in a real valley, the same environment that pandas live in nature.
When you arrive, you have to scan and buy a ticket via WeChat. It costs 55 yuan per person. When you enter, there will be signs showing where the pandas are. There are a lot of pandas. You can walk along and see them all the time. They're very close. The innermost part is the red panda zone, which is the highlight of this place. They live in an open system. We have to walk inside and hope to see where we'll see them. The red pandas will walk around the trees or the railings of our bridge. They're very close, but you can't catch them. You can't make any noise.
