St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh was a breathtaking blend of history, architecture, and quiet reverence. Its crown steeple drew me in from the Royal Mile, but it was the interior that truly captivated me, stained glass windows casting colorful light, intricate wood carvings, and the stunning Thistle Chapel with its gold-leaf ceiling and ornate detail. I joined a free guided tour and was swept into tales of reformers, royals, and centuries of Scottish heritage. The atmosphere was peaceful yet powerful, perfect for reflection. St Giles isn’t just a church, it’s a living monument to Scotland’s soul, standing proud and timeless.
