Explore the enchanting underwater world by diving 12 meters deep in "El Nido," a destination that rivals the Maldives.

Nicknamed the "Maldives of the East," El Nido is not actually an island but rather a name derived from the Spanish term "El Nido," meaning "The Nest." Located above Palawan in the Philippines, El Nido is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, abundant coral reefs, diverse marine life, and crystal-clear lakes. Every corner of this paradise is so stunning it feels like a soul-stirring experience. 😍

When visiting El Nido, diving is a must-try activity to explore its magical underwater world! Start your day at the dive shop, where instructors will teach you basic underwater communication signals, how to clear water from your mask, and how to check your air gauge. Afterward, you'll head to the beach and board a traditional Palawan outrigger boat to set sail ⛵️. Onboard, you'll gear up with a wetsuit, weights, a 15-kilogram oxygen tank, and fins. Once ready, you'll jump into the water as instructed by your coach. After confirming your basic scuba diving knowledge, the instructor will guide you slowly down to a depth of 12 meters for an underwater adventure.

El Nido's calm waters and vibrant marine life make diving a more rewarding experience than snorkeling. You'll encounter colorful fish playing hide-and-seek among the corals, schools of fish swimming in perfect formation, and vast coral forests resembling roses or giant mushrooms. The vibrant fish and coral scenery are incredibly relaxing and therapeutic 🪸. We were lucky enough to spot a sea turtle 🐢 during our dive. It was friendly and unafraid, allowing us to approach it slowly and admire its graceful movements. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any stingrays this time, leaving us with a reason to return for another visit.

Underwater, the only sound you hear is your own breathing, and watching these adorable creatures swim freely is incredibly calming and stress-relieving 😌. El Nido offers not only stunning land-based activities but also an underwater world worth exploring. This is the charm of El Nido—a paradise island you must visit at least once in your lifetime! 💕
