I've just planned my enchanting escape to Fenghuang Ancient City, and I'm so excited to step into a classical ink wash painting brought to life! My plan for exploring this beautiful ancient town is perfect for soaking in both its vibrant nights and serene mornings.

My Fenghuang Ancient City Itinerary at a Glance:

Day 1 - Evening Arrival & Magical Nightscapes:

5:00 PM: I'll arrive by high-speed train at "Fenghuang Ancient City Station."

Then, I'll grab a taxi (around CNY 20) to my hotel near "Nanhua Gate." This puts me conveniently at the upstream part of the Tuojiang River, allowing me to explore in a natural upstream-to-downstream flow.

My first evening is dedicated to experiencing the stunning night views and taking photos! The illuminated "ink wash silhouette" of the city against the water, combined with traditional Miao clothing and silver ornaments, will make for absolutely breathtaking shots.

Day 2 - Morning Serenity & Ancient Charms:

I'll spend the morning admiring the original appearance of the stilt houses in daylight.

I'm so looking forward to seeing the misty mornings over the Tuojiang River – I bet it'll look exactly like a "Jianghu" (martial arts world) straight out of a Xianxia (immortal hero) drama! Truly magical!
