Family Trip to the Three Gorges｜Take the 40 RMB Little Red Boat with Kids for a Poetic 3-Day, 2-Night Journey!

📌Route: Chongqing → Fengjie → Qutang Gorge → Wushan → Wu Gorge → Badong → Xiling Gorge → Three Gorges Dam → Yichang, 3 days 2 nights

🚄Day 1: Chongqing — Fengjie

High-speed train from Chongqing North → Fengjie (2 hours), recommended to arrive before 11 AM

✅Family must-visit spots:

🔹Baidi City: Visit the Orphanage Hall to see Three Kingdoms stories｜Check in at “Kuimen,” the filming location on the 10 RMB note｜Chijiashan + Baiyanshan frame the river like a painting

🔹Peak of the Three Gorges: Overlook the full view of Qutang Gorge, an 8-kilometer spectacular canyon!

For kids, it’s recommended to visit Baidi City + take a taxi to the Peak of the Three Gorges; hiking takes 4-6 hours, so be cautious with little ones

🛶Little Red Boat Dock: Search “Fengjie Little Red Boat Dock” on the map

🏡Accommodation: Riverside scenic homestays facing Kuimen, or choose city chain hotels for convenience

🛳️Day 2: Fengjie — Wushan

✅Family must-experience:

Yangtze River Little Red Boat (Fengjie → Wushan｜40 RMB/person)

Schedule: 8:00 / 13:20, buy tickets on board, reserve seats early in peak season!

Highlights: 360° view from the second deck｜Stops at wild docks on demand, wave to villagers to stop｜Sneak into the captain’s cabin to see him use binoculars to spot passengers!

🚤Small Three Gorges Cruise: Little Red Boat arrives Wushan at 11:30, can connect to the 14:00 Small Three Gorges cruise

🍲Food: Must try Wushan paper-wrapped fish!

🏨Accommodation: Near the dock, convenient for catching the early boat next day

⛴️Day 3: Wushan - Yichang, passing through Wu Gorge + Xiling Gorge

Gao Gorge Pinghu No.5, 299 RMB/person, departs at 7:00 the next day (6 hours to Yichang)

🎫Booking: Search “Gao Gorge Pinghu No.5” to book in advance, sometimes offline prices are better

🌊Three Gorges Dam: The boat stops at Taipingxi Dock, 10-minute taxi to the visitor center, after visiting you can take a car to Yichang
