📍Location: Yumeshima (Osaka-Kansai Expo Site)
🏛 Pavilion Name: Blue Ocean Dome
Among the many pavilions at the Yumeshima Expo site, the "Blue Ocean Dome" stands out as a popular photo spot with its pure white streamlined design and water reflections. The dome-shaped building houses an immersive exhibition space that uses visuals, sound, and interactive water installations to guide visitors through the wonders and crises of the ocean.
Upon entering the pavilion, the first thing you see is a series of art installations simulating flowing water. Water gently cascades between different white platforms, resembling ocean tides moving across land, with every drop representing a part of Earth's life cycle.
Next, in the main exhibition area, the large circular 3D projection of the "Blue Planet" makes a stunning debut. Using ultra-high-definition surround imagery, it showcases Earth's ocean coverage, marine debris issues, sea level rise due to climate change, and coral bleaching, allowing visitors to feel that "the invisible ocean is speaking out."
The pavilion’s final highlight is the "Symbiotic Ocean Map Model" area, which uses transparent water flows and interactive maps to depict the interconnectedness and fragility of global marine ecosystems, calling on humanity to start protecting ocean resources through individual actions.
🔹 Exhibition Impressions:
The "Blue Ocean Dome" is not just a beautiful building but a call for environmental awareness and spiritual reflection. The pavilion’s design perfectly blends technology and art, and the exhibition content is both educational and entertaining, making it suitable for visitors of all ages to explore the mysteries of the ocean together.
