On my last day in Florence, I originally planned to watch the sunset at the famous Piazzale Michelangelo. However, as dusk approached, it was already packed and I thought it would be difficult to find a seat, so I looked for a quieter spot and ended up at the Belvedere Fort Restaurant (Forte di Belvedere, Via di S. Leonardo, 1, Firenze) 🍷.
Climbing up the hill right next to the fortress, I came across this cafe and restaurant, and the view from there was truly breathtaking. 💛 The panoramic view of Florence, the silhouette of the Duomo, the crimson rooftops, and the golden sky were truly a work of art. 🎨 Sitting on the terrace, sipping coffee, and watching the sky gradually turn orange, I thought, "This is the true leisure of Europe."
Above all, I loved the quiet atmosphere, with only music and the sound of the wind, rather than the bustle of Piazzale Michelangelo. The photos turned out beautifully, and once the sun set, the city lights came on one by one, creating a romantic nightscape. ✨
I highly recommend Belvedere Fort Restaurant to those who prefer a quieter atmosphere over a crowded place. 💕 The sunset is spectacular, and in the evening, the night view of Florence seems almost within reach. If you want to enjoy the scenery leisurely without being crowded with tourists, come here instead of Piazzale Michelangelo next time! 🙋♀️
