I went there because of the hype, and the photos turned out great.

Built in the 6th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1880), it has a history of more than 140 years. It has two views in one garden, is directly accessible by subway, and has very few people!

💰Average cost: 20 yuan (includes a 10 yuan drink)
🕙Opening hours: 8:30–11:30; 14:00–16:30 (closed on Mondays)
📍Address: Take a bus from Guolun Jiao Station to Mingshi Garden
Nearby: Guilinggao Museum | Lunjiao 678 Cultural and Creative Park
Tips for visiting and taking photos
① It is recommended to learn about the story of the owner, Mr. He Mingshi, before coming, so that you can have a deeper understanding of the architecture;
② There are Lingnan-style wok ear houses, Manchurian windows, sliding doors, screen doors, and Western-style Baroque arches, Western-style buildings, and stacked fountains.
③ The Western-style building and house are open to visitors, and the guard house has become a village history museum;
④ Recommended outfit: New Chinese style/cheongsam. The photos will turn out great.
⑤ Photo spots:
Take a photo from the Western-style building looking down, the Manchurian window on the left side of the Western-style building, take a photo of the Western-style building from the alley at the entrance to the garden, take a photo of the fountain and arch in the corridor on the first floor of the Western-style building.
⑥ There are very few tourists, even on weekends!
