Located in Fujian, China, the world of Hayao Miyazaki's manga

Taishan Island, located in Fuding City, Fujian Province, is known as the "Marine Park." It is the farthest island from the mainland and closest to the open sea in Fujian, accessible only by boat.

Every summer, the island's matcha-colored grasslands contrast with the blue sky and white clouds, creating a picturesque scene reminiscent of Hayao Miyazaki's fairy tales, healing both body and mind!

🚞Land transportation: Take the high-speed train to Fuding City ➡️ Take a car to Shacheng Wharf or Qinyu Wharf
🚢Sea transportation: Take a boat from the wharf to Taishan Island. Contact in advance to check the departure time and book tickets.
→ Departure time is usually 9 AM on Saturdays, confirm in advance!
→ Round-trip fare 💰200/person
→ Boat trip: Shacheng Wharf - Taishan Island (1.5h); Qinyu Wharf - Taishan Island (2h)
Note: Due to sea transportation restrictions, you can only return the next day after visiting the island!

There are only 3 homestays on the island, operating on an all-inclusive basis, including round-trip boat tickets, wharf pickup, meals, accommodation, tour guide, and photography. Homestay costs 200/person, meals 68/meal. The rooms in the homestays all face the sea, and you can eat as much seafood as you want, all freshly caught that day!

✔️Taishan Island has no sandy beaches, only rocky beaches. The various marine erosion landforms and oddly shaped reefs are very photogenic. Must-visit spots include Umbrella Reef and One Line Sky!

✔️Stone houses built on cliffs, resembling Italy's Cinque Terre from afar
✔️Vast matcha grasslands and triangular wooden huts, with herds of cattle and sheep in the evening, very Miyazaki-like!
✔️The island's grasslands are also great for camping, bonfires, and stargazing at night
✔️War relics such as gun positions, sentry posts, and air-raid shelters
✔️You can see blue tears in summer

📝Some tips:
❶ The boat trip is long, remember to take motion sickness medicine half an hour in advance
❷ Contact the homestay in advance to book a room, confirm the departure time, and meals with the homestay owner
❸ The island has strong UV rays, be sure to apply sunscreen
❹ Visit the island on a sunny day
❺ The island's food is mainly seafood, you can bring some mineral water and fruits yourself
