great ryokan experience at fujikawaguchiko

We picked Fuji Kawaguchiko Konansou as it has great reviews and is nearer to kawaguchiko station. Our room was lake facing and on a high floor. The room is very spacious and clean. The views were awesome. My husband and i spent hours just looking out at the autumn colours. The hues of yellow, red and green with Lake Kawaguchi is just so mesmerizing.

We got the package that comes with breakfast and kaiseki dinner. Dinner was awesome! The staff would set it up in your room. You can see they take pride in giving you the best kaiseki experience as every detailed decoration was taken care of nicely. Seasonal ingredients and decoration were used. We were happily full every night!

After dinner, another staff would come set up your futons. And then you can laze around till sleep time. Service from every staff is great. Some of them will remember you and greet you as well!

Konansou also has a foot spa with awesome view of mt fuji. Do go earlier!

Lastly, like many hotels and ryokans in this area, shuttle service is available from hotel to kawaguchiko station and vice versa. You can get the staff from tourist information to help you to call the hotel.

Definitely coming back here again in autumn!
