The Reagan Field of Saiko is known as the Gassho Village of Lake Kawaguchi
Take the Saiko Tour Bus and get off at bus stop 68 Saiko Iyashi no Reagan Field.
There are not as many tourists as expected
Reagan Field is actually not very large, and you can walk around it in about an hour while taking photos.
You can visit each one, which are different shops, historical relics or museums about Genba.
There will also be special hand-made courses on holidays that you can apply to participate in
(Course information will be available on the official website)
There are also restaurants here EX: the famous Matsuzou soba
There are also many stalls selling grilled food at the place where the bus stops, so don't worry if you come here on an empty stomach~
The traditional thatched house of Reagan has a steep herringbone roof, which can prevent heavy snow from accumulating on the roof and crushing the house.
However, the houses here were actually only built around 2010. The old village was destroyed by the typhoon in 1966.
When you come here, you must come to the observatory.
From the second floor, you can see the scenery of Reagan Field and Mt. Fuji.
It's a pity that the top of Mount Fuji was covered by white clouds that day, otherwise it would have been even more beautiful!!
You can also rent kimonos and armor here to take photos, and the price I saw was only 500 yen!!!!!!!
It's super cheap. If you come with a few friends, I really recommend renting clothes to take photos.
The specialty store also sells locally pickled kimchi and pickles and local souvenirs that look very special~
It was very comfortable and relaxing to walk around and take photos at Reagan Park in the afternoon.
Address: Saikogenba, Fujikawaguchiko-machi, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture
