Visiting Shiraito Falls in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture

Shiraito Falls is known as one of the most famous waterfalls in Japan.
This waterfall is created when meltwater from Mt. Fuji springs from a cliff at the boundary between the upper layer of the New Fuji Volcanic Layer, which allows water to pass through, and the lower layer of the Old Fuji Volcanic Layer, which does not allow water to pass through.
Hundreds of waterfalls, large and small, flow down from a curved cliff 20m high and 150m wide. The appearance is worthy of the name Shiraito, as it looks like many strands of silk threads.
With its gentle, feminine beauty, when you stand near the basin of the waterfall, three sides are arched by water, creating a fantastic world. It is a national scenic spot and natural monument.

A waterfall worth seeing!! A waterfall!!
Lots of moss too!!
A must-see for waterfall and moss enthusiasts.
