📍Address: Nishi Ohori Park, Fukuoka Castle, Japan
💞Recommended reasons:
The next stop of the cruise is Japan, where it will dock in Fukuoka.
Some people say that Fukuoka is the Chengdu of Japan, so we went to Ohori Park to experience the relaxation of the locals.
🗓️Itinerary:
This park is a rare waterscape park in Japan. After strolling around, it really felt like a condensed version of West Lake. A path connected by four bridges and islands runs through the lake, dotted with exquisite pavilions and green umbrellas, creating a natural and peaceful scene.
The circumference of the lake is about two kilometers. If you have enough time, you can spend an afternoon watching the vivid scenes of turtles basking in the sun, wild ducks swimming around, and birds flying in the blue sky.
🏖️Environment/Facilities:
1. Swan Boat
When you enter the park, the most eye-catching thing is the two swan boats floating in the lake. In clear weather, you can choose a "swan", ride the wind and waves, and blend into the fresh and elegant scenery, which is very pleasant.
2. Japanese Garden
Here you can appreciate the classical beauty of a traditional Japanese garden. There is a rest teahouse in the garden. Walking around, you can also overlook the dry landscape garden, large pond, and built mountains.
3. Fukuoka Art Museum
The reddish-brown exterior of the building contrasts beautifully with the greenery of Ohori Park. The museum contains works by writers from the Kyushu region, where Fukuoka Prefecture is located, art from the 20th century, and art from Asia.
4. Starbucks
The long and narrow building is low-key hidden in a corner of the park. The large glass windows and transparent patio design make the space exceptionally bright and transparent. It is a good place to recharge after a tiring stroll along the lake.
5. Maizuru Park
Located next to Ohori Park and Fukuoka Art Museum, the entire park was built along the ruins of Fukuoka Castle left over from the Edo period and is the most popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Fukuoka City.
