Quick and Fun Trip to Nokonoshima

🏝️ Nokonoshima

Located in Fukuoka Prefecture, Nokonoshima is an island accessible in just 10 minutes by ferry from Meinohama Port, which is about an hour away from Hakata Station via train and bus.

Getting around the island is easy as buses operate in sync with the ferry schedule! While you can walk to Nokonoshima Island Park, the heat made us give up on that idea 💧

With beautiful flower fields, a mini zoo, and nostalgic exhibits, we had a great time exploring the island in just about an hour and a half. The flower fields change with the seasons, so I’d love to visit again to see their seasonal beauty!

Near the Nokonoshima Ferry Terminal, there’s a stylish shop where you can enjoy Nokonoshima cider and ice cream with a hippo logo. It’s a perfect spot to chill on the island.
⚠️ However, be careful with the ice cream—it melts quickly in the heat! 👀
