The god of the street in the heart of Tenjin, Fukuoka's most prosperous street

#Keigojinja Shrine is located in the center of Fukuoka City, near Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. The name "Keigo" comes from the defense site "Keigosho" of Dazaifu, which is located near the ancient guesthouse "Korokan". It was originally located on the hills of Fukusaki (the old name of Fukuoka) where the main castle of Fukuoka Castle is located, and was moved when Fukuoka Castle was built. As the guardian of Fukuoka Castle, it is revered by successive feudal lords. A regular festival is held every October 19th.
