If you think Qinghai Lake is stunning enough, then the sulfur lake will completely overturn your perception of the Northwest! Hidden deep within the Eboliang Yardang, the lake looks like it’s sprinkled with gold dust, dazzling under the sunlight. Filmed in July, the original photos vividly show its surreal beauty, but the shock you see with your own eyes on site far surpasses what the camera captures!
📍Exact coordinates:
Inside the Eboliang Scenic Area, Lenghu Town, Mangya City, about 3 kilometers from the sulfur spring. You can first navigate to "Eboliang Spring," then head southeast downhill; the lake is faintly visible among the Yardang hills and valleys.
🎫Fee: 500 RMB per vehicle (includes scenic area protection and management fee)
⚠️Vehicle requirements: Only 4WD off-road vehicles allowed! The sandy ground is soft and easy to get stuck in; traveling with multiple vehicles allows mutual assistance. Do not drive a regular SUV alone.
🔎Lake-finding tips:
The navigation tablet rented at Mars Camp marks "Mars Lake"; when approaching, watch for the gentle slope on the left.
Aerial photography is unbeatable here! From above, the sulfur lake looks like a golden gem embedded in the Yardang formations, clearly visible at a glance.
The area is open with no flight restrictions; bringing a drone to capture panoramic views is recommended.
