Instead of the crowded tourist spots in Fukuoka, a visit to Yoshizuka 🏘️

#OverseasTravel

When you think of Fukuoka, you usually think of the city centers like Tenjin, Hakata, and Nakasu. But this time, instead of the touristy areas, I visited the quieter neighborhood of Yoshizuka.

Yoshizuka isn't a flashy tourist destination, but that's what really made it so charming. Small, local shops dot the narrow alleyways, and the neighborhood has a simple yet friendly atmosphere. Convenience stores and old-fashioned restaurants all had a local feel, making me feel like a local, rather than a tourist.

Especially in the evening, with fewer tourists, it was much quieter. Just walking down the alleyways made me feel like I was immersed in everyday Japanese life. After all the bustling Fukuoka, coming to such a quiet place was a huge change of pace.

👉 If you're looking to truly experience the "local sensibility" of Fukuoka, I recommend stopping by Yoshizuka for a stroll!
