Samaksan Brings the Drama

#summervacay Samaksan in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do? Whew, this one’s a whole experience. I came for a casual hike and ended up in a stairway showdown with the mountain. 😂 No joke, there are a lot of stairs, but the payoff? Totally worth it.

The trail starts off nice and peaceful, winding through the forest with some creek sounds and birds vibing in the background. Then you hit the steps. It’s like the mountain is testing your willpower. But honestly, with every new height, the views get crazier. Chuncheon’s lakes and city peek through the trees, and by the time you hit the top, you’re treated to this panoramic masterpiece that feels straight-up epic.

Bring water, maybe a hiking pole (trust me), and go early to beat the crowd. Samaksan might test your legs, but it’ll reward your soul. Also: post-hike dakgalbi in Chuncheon is basically mandatory.
