Hot Spring Trip to Gero Onsen!

Gero Onsen, one of Japan's top three hot springs! I visited Gero while traveling to Nagoya. Actually, this was my second visit. :)

During my stay in Gero, I stayed at the Yamagataya Ryokan, which offers stunning river views from the rooms and serves delicious food—truly a great value accommodation!

I tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Yamagataya. Breakfast was a clean and traditional Japanese meal, while lunch and dinner were served as kaiseki course meals.

The upgraded Hida beef shabu-shabu I had for lunch was so delicious it brought tears to my eyes. 🥹🤤

The ryokan features both a large public bath and private baths, allowing you to choose according to your preference. Plus, they offer free ice cream! 🤫

With a convenient location, great views, and amazing food, this ryokan is a fantastic value. Highly recommended!
