No hot air balloons 🎈 Don't stay at Sultan Cave Hotel
I booked a suite at the Vampire Hotel, but I missed my flight, wasting 3K
This stubborn guy changed his flight to Cappadocia and found a popular hotel: Sultan Cave Hotel
But the weather had been bad for a while, so the hot air balloon didn't fly, and I felt like I had wasted my money.
The rendering I saw before was like this. It is said to be the best terrace to watch hot air balloons take off.
In fact, the weather was very cloudy when we went there, and it even snowed the next day. There was no decoration, and no one was taking pictures. It was very deserted. So if you want to stay in this hotel, you will definitely get some photos with the hot air balloons, which is also worth it. If not, there are many cave hotels over there, so you can just book a cheap one. There is no need to book this one.
But the room and restaurant are pretty good overall. I booked a suite, which is relatively large, with retro furnishings and decorations. However, because the room is too big, the heating is not enough. Even with the air conditioner on, it still feels cold. The welcome gift includes a fruit plate and wine.
The front desk is also very beautiful, and the staff are very enthusiastic. Cats and dogs come in from time to time, but they are very well behaved and will not disturb the guests. They just lie there and sleep by themselves. The view from the breakfast area is great, and there is a fireplace in the restaurant.
It is a 10-minute walk from the center of Goreme town, at the top of a hillside, with a better view than other cave hotels (not much better)
During the two days in Cappadocia, I booked a classic car again. The driver was very emotional and took a lot of photos. Unfortunately, there was no hot air balloon. It started raining halfway through the drive and I was freezing...
We also ate at Köşebaşı, one of the world's 50 best restaurants. The grilled meats we ordered were all delicious. It was snowing heavily outside, but we enjoyed the meal inside. I highly recommend everyone to go there!
After dinner, I went to see the night view of Goreme. Well, it was foggy and snowy, so the photos I took couldn't be very good.
