Guang'an Baren Stone City is located in Shenlongshan, Guang'an District, Guang'an City.
Historically known as the "Shelongshan Baren Stone City".

Legend has it that this place is the holy land where the Bazu people hoped their sons would become dragons and educate the Bawangzi "abandon the king to become a saint, transform the snake into a dragon". Therefore, the Bawang clan worshipped the snake and dragon as totems, calling this mountain Shelongshan. Baren Stone City covers an area of more than 200 hectares and is more than 80 meters high, making it the highest point in Guang'an urban area.


Due to its steep and dangerous terrain, it was once a stronghold of the ancient Ba Kingdom. Shenlongshan was an important route between the ancient Ba Kingdom and Qin and Shu. It pointed to Jingchu in the east, guarded Hudu in the south, connected Shu Han in the west, and looked north to Sanqin, making it one of the important gateways of the Ba Kingdom.



⛰ Baren culture can be traced back to the Xia and Shang dynasties, with a long history. The Baren people were brave and warlike, good at singing and dancing. They fought wars with many countries such as Chu and Shu during the Warring States period until they were destroyed by the Qin Dynasty.
