The Catholic Sacred Heart Cathedral⛪️ located in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou was completed in 1888. Since the walls and pillars of the entire church are built of granite, it is also called the Stone Chamber Church. Due to its historical value, it has become a national key cultural relic protection unit. The architecture of the church belongs to the Gothic Revival style of the 19th century. The interior of the church has a rib-shaped vaulted dome, and on both sides are equipped with multiple pointed pre-shaped windows inlaid with colored glass. The light from the outside shows the design based on religious stories, which is very worth appreciating. The towering ceiling gives the church a solemn style. This church is the only Gothic church built of granite in Southeast Asia and one of the four stone-structured Gothic churches in the world. The square at the main entrance of the church is an ideal location for taking photos and punching in 📷. Whether you have religious beliefs or not🙏🏻, the history and architectural art of this church are worth visiting.
📍No. 56, Jiubuqian, Yide Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou (open to the public every day, movement inside the church may be restricted during mass)
