✅The "Tree King" in front of Martin Hall: This ancient banyan tree with tangled roots clings to the red brick wall like a dragon's claw. It is the "guardian" of CUHK. It has witnessed Chen Yinke's pensive back leaning on a cane and heard Liang Qichao's passionate speech. Martin Hall is the first reinforced concrete building in China, but it is willing to let the roots penetrate the foundation. Just like the true meaning of academics: knowledge and wildness coexist, requiring both a rational framework and wild imagination. ✅Black Stone House: Sun Yat-sen once lived here. Now the poinciana tree in front of the house pours out scarlet waterfalls in summer. The shadows of the trees swaying on the red bricks are like an unfinished manuscript of history.

✅The controversy and reconciliation of Yongfang Hall: This building, which has been criticized for being "gloomy", appears solemn and majestic because of the 18 Araucaria trees in front of the door. The controversy itself is a footnote to the spirit of the university: no beauty can conquer everyone, just as truth always grows in debate

Turn left out of the North Gate and stroll along the Pearl River. You will come across the Zhongda Pier and take the water bus to leave, completing the narrative loop of "Land Forest-Water City"
