Weekend escape from the city plan was a success!
It is 1.5 hours’ drive from downtown Guangzhou.
I found a seriously underestimated green forest🍃
The waterfall reflects a rainbow in the morning light
The stream flows over the mossy stone steps and makes a gurgling sound
The maple forest at the end of the plank road looks like an overturned palette.
This is not Switzerland, this is Shimen National Forest Park‼ ️

1️⃣「Tianchi Flower Sea」Oil Painting Secret Realm
Flower fields in the clouds at an altitude of 800 meters! In March and April, the golden rapeseed flowers cover the terraces, in July and August, the sunflowers and lotus flowers bloom, and in November, the sweetgum trees dye the whole valley red. Each season hides different surprises✨
2️⃣「Red Maple Lake」Misty Forest
The morning mist is the most amazing! The lake reflects the Metasequoia and maple trees. Rowing a transparent boat seems to be floating on green glass. Wearing a white long skirt to take photos will instantly turn you into a forest heroine🌫️
3️⃣「Shimen Stream」River tracing and water play
Stroll along the 2.5km waterfront trail, encounter a 7-layer natural waterfall group, soak lychee soda in the cool stream water, sit on a bamboo raft to listen to the wind and watch the clouds, the 25℃ summer is infinitely extended here💦

🚗Transportation: Self-driving is recommended (the scenic area is huge! You can stop and play as you like)
