Two days and one night in Guangzhou | Lingnan daily life in Yongqingfang, recommended literary itinerary in old Guangzhou

Starting from Hong Kong, you can take the high-speed rail and subway directly to [Yongqingfang] and walk into the old streets and alleys of Lingnan culture, as if traveling back in time. Step into Lingnan architecture, see traditional Chinese wok-ear houses, and admire Manchurian windows that combine Chinese aesthetics with Western building materials.

Transportation
✧ High-speed rail: Hong Kong → Guangzhou East Station (about 1 hour and 36 minutes) ✧ Subway: Guangzhou East Station → Huangsha Station (about 33 minutes, very convenient) ✧ Walking: Huangsha Station → Yongqingfang (about 10 minutes)

Day 1|Wandering in the Old Street × Lingnan Arts and Culture
📍Yongqingfang: Moon Bridge → Red Bridge → Yongqingfang Wharf → Old Guangzhou style, old buildings along the road are matched with green plants, you can feel the prosperity of the old wharf while strolling. Now it has become a literary and leisure area, very suitable for walking hand in hand.
📍Zhongshuge → A must-visit spot for young people with literary tastes. The design uses glass curtains to reflect the light and shadow of the old street, creating a full atmosphere and every corner is worth taking a close look.
📍Cantonese Opera Art Museum → Displays typical Lingnan garden design, as if condensing landscape paintings in the courtyard. The museum houses a collection of various Cantonese opera costumes and shoes, and the outdoor theater also allows one to explore the charm of Cantonese opera, one of the essences of Lingnan.

🏨 Recommended accommodation: Yongqingfang Zhanyun Select Hotel → Exquisite and clean, with a great location, right in Yongqingfang! When you open the window, you can see the lights in the alleys, which are full of the atmosphere of old Guangzhou.

Day 2|Si Hai Cheng × Vegetarian Surprise
☕️ Lobby Café @ Si Hai City → Walk through the old street for a cup of coffee. The semi-open and spacious space, brown-red tones and tropical large-leaf plants create a warm and comfortable design style. On that day, we also happened to see parents taking their children to take birthday photos, and the whole space was filled with a warm atmosphere.
🥗 Xisushi (vegetarian restaurant) → Must order: original soy milk + Sichuan pepper flavor dishes! The soy milk is super smooth, and the Sichuan peppercorns are slightly numbing and satisfying. It completely changed my impression of vegetarian food!

This trip to Guangzhou was a great experience with comfortable food, poetic accommodation, and a perfect blend of history and art. I highly recommend everyone to come here on the weekend!
