This shrine, over 2,000 years old, is nestled amidst a forest of giant, centuries-old cedar trees, lined with majestic, almost fantasy-like trees. 🌳💚 Togakushi Shrine actually consists of five shrines (Hokosha, Hinomikosha, Chusha, Kuzuryusha, and Okusha) scattered along the mountain paths. However, the most popular route to Okusha (the inner shrine) is through a breathtaking tunnel of giant cedar trees. Perfect for photography enthusiasts and those seeking a true sense of nature.

⏰ Opening Hours: The shrine grounds are open all day, but daytime visits are recommended for safer hiking trails and the best views.

🛤️ Access: From Nagano Station, take the Nagaden Express Bus to Togakushi (about an hour). From there, walk to each shrine along the paths.
