Surprise Cave (Hang Sung Sot) is the most stunning limestone cave in Ha Long Bay. From the docking point, it's hard to imagine the vast scale of this limestone cavern. The cave spans an area of approximately 10,000 square meters, with two large chambers connected by narrow, winding stone paths that require you to bend down to pass through. Inside, you'll find a variety of stalactites, stalagmites, stone columns, stone curtains, and stone embankments. Considering that stalactites grow at a rate of just 6 centimeters every 1,000 years, the current scenery has taken countless ages to form.
