Solo travel | The charm of Holland is not just Amsterdam

📍Haarlem
This time, I used Haarlem as my base in the Netherlands.
Honestly, I didn't have any expectations and I thought I would just stay there, but
It's not hectic like Amsterdam, and the scenery is unanimously what we imagine the Netherlands to be, so I ended up really liking it🫶
The canals and windmills are a part of the city's daily life, and it's really lovely😊
There's another reason why I recommend Haarlem.
Amsterdam is the capital and gateway of the Netherlands, and not only are the accommodation costs high around Central Station,
there are far fewer accommodations than in other cities.
There are few hotels, dormitories, or Airbnb.
Naturally, the prices are higher because there are fewer.
In terms of accommodation costs, Haarlem is more travel-friendly than Amsterdam, so I recommend it.
It's only a 20-minute train ride from Amsterdam, so it's easy to do a day trip.
It's not too noisy like a tourist destination,
and you can travel like you live there,
so it's the perfect city for solo travelers 🇳🇱
