A fairytale world in the snow! A "Little Russia" brought by train

🏞️ This is a Russian-style town covered in snow, like something out of a fairytale.

📍 Hengdaohezi Town is located in Hailin, Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang. It is a town with a history of over 100 years. 💨 100 years ago, with the opening of the East Qing Railway (China Eastern Railway), it became a transportation hub in the Far East and was known as Little Russia. 🏠 Today, it still retains 256 Russian-style buildings. The snow is heavy and lasts a long time in winter, creating a unique exotic atmosphere.

🚗 Transportation
🚗 Self-driving: About 40 minutes from Mudanjiang, or 3 hours from Harbin.
🚌 Public transportation: About 1.5 hours by high-speed train from Harbin to Hengdaohezi East Station; about 11 minutes by bullet train or 20 minutes by green train from Mudanjiang to Hengdaohezi East Station. 🎫 We recommend buying tickets in advance, as there are many tourists recently.

🎟️ Ticket information and opening hours
🎟️ All attractions are free, but some photo spots may charge a fee. The Church of the Entry of the Mother of God into the Temple is open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and closed on Mondays.

🏨 Accommodation
🏙️ Mudanjiang or Harbin: The accommodation in the town is average, so we recommend staying in these two cities and making a day trip.
🏡 Homestays in Hengdaohezi Town: Prices are around RMB 200, with good value for money.

📝 Tips
❄️ It's very cold in winter, so be sure to wear warm clothes and a thick down jacket!
⏰ Buy round-trip tickets in advance to avoid not being able to buy them at the last minute.
🌙 Be aware that it gets dark early in winter, so try to finish shooting early.
🍵 Hengdaohezi Station offers free hot ginger tea and luggage storage, which is convenient and thoughtful.
💰 You can bargain when driving or taking a taxi. A taxi from the town to the high-speed train station costs RMB 5-10, or RMB 15 if you're in a hurry.
