A hidden gem, this ancient water town is the true hidden treasure of Jiangnan

🎈Compared to Wuzhen and Xitang, Yanguan feels more like a low-key noble lady. With over two thousand years of history, it is named after salt and famous for its tides. This place is not only the best spot to watch the Qiantang River tidal bore but also preserves Qing Dynasty official residences and the Jin Yong Academy. One ticket covers everything, no hassle buying separate tickets, perfect for a leisurely vacation!

Day 2: Watch the morning tide at Tide Watching Park → Jin Yong Academy → Wang Guowei Former Residence → Sauce Garden experience making handmade sauce → Return trip

🌟Highlights

▪️Tide Watching Park, the most spectacular around the 18th day of the eighth lunar month, but there are tides on regular days too. Check tide forecasts in advance, capture the moment waves hit the fish-scale stone pond, shoot from the top floor of Ao Tower for a panoramic view of river and sky, and come early to see the "river mist over the embankment," ethereal like an ink painting!

▪️Chen Ge Old Residence, the Qianlong Emperor’s "temporary palace," with carved opera stage and century-old wisteria tree, instantly transporting you to a wealthy Qing Dynasty household. Legend has it the mystery of Qianlong’s identity lies here;

▪️Music Home Museum + Infinity Pool, the hotel’s basement hides an Austrian imperial-style museum! The rooftop pool seamlessly connects with the Qiantang River, perfect for sunset photos that will blow up your social feed!

📌Practical Information

Book in advance to include 8 major attractions + Tide Music City show. The Main Singer Hotel is in a great location, with folk music performances at night. Soaking in the pool while listening to music is super chill! Remember to bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
