Recommended for those who want to see the ocean from the top of a hill in Hakodate!

I recommend Hachimanzaka as a famous spot in Hakodate where you can see the sea from the top of the hill.

You can get close to Hachimanzaka by Hakodate tram (it's about 1.2 km walk from Hakodate Station), and there is little traffic, so the scenery is beautiful and it's a great place to take photos.

I actually had a photo of the whole slope from the bottom, but I didn't post it this time to prevent infringement of portrait rights.

At the bottom of the slope, of course, there is the sea, and there is a bronze statue of a boat and a person like this. (It can't be seen from the top of the slope.)

Actually, this statue is by Niijima Jo, and I don't know why it's here, so if anyone knows, please let me know in the comments.

I took the photos in two times, after 9am and after 4pm, and unfortunately it was raining, but it's a beautiful slope that you can take pretty good photos of, so if you're interested, please come and see it!
