Hakone Checkpoint

We visited this site during the visit to lake visit and pirate boat ride. If you get off from
the boat at Hakone-Machi Ko port and walk towards Motohakone only short walk 10’mins - you will reach there. There is some renovation for the gate when we visited there. You can walk through that for free. If you want to look the replica of old check point and how people live - there is small entrance fee which also allowed to go up the view point uphill -where the outstanding view over looking the lake. But be mindful that there are steep stairs to reach there. Overall I m happy to visit there. I m recommended to have a look the view of lake from the hill.

In 2024, I want to go back to Hakone.
