Although this place is most famous for its scenery, and Mount Fuji is visible on a good day, visibility from the south was low when I visited. It was also near the end of business hours. I think the paintings inside are also worth seeing. The entire layout and style of the paintings are deeply Japanese, completely different from the experience you get in a European art museum.
