A while ago, I visited Tangqi Ancient Town, a place that offers free entry and is open all day.
Guangji Bridge, a seven-arch stone bridge spanning the Grand Canal, provided breathtaking views, especially at sunset. Lushui North Street, filled with local snacks, century-old shops, and handcrafts, exuded a rich historical atmosphere with its Ming and Qing dynasty buildings. The Qianlong Imperial Stele and Pavilion, erected in the 16th year of Qianlong's reign, offered a fascinating glimpse into the past.
Collecting stamps with a free booklet from the visitor center added to the fun, and staying overnight helped avoid the weekend crowds. Tangqi Ancient Town's charm and historical beauty made it a memorable visit. I highly recommend exploring its unique allure.
