Xixi National Wetland Park is as famous as West Lake

I heard that Xixi National Wetland Park is as famous as West Lake, so I put it on the must-visit list of this trip to Hangzhou. We chose the Angsana Hotel in Xixi Paradise, which is close to the free entrance to Xixi Wetland Park and the Wetland Museum. It is within walking distance and 2-3 hours is enough for the tour. If you take an afternoon flight, you can make full use of the remaining time after breakfast to enjoy nature.

Walking along the Fudi in the free area, you will see big trees and ponds on both sides. All you see is green, which is very comfortable. You can also go bird watching along the way. At the end of Fu Dike, you must turn to the Green Dike, where there is a trail close to the water. The lotus flowers on the water are beautiful, and they are even more beautiful with the pink lanterns arranged on the water! You can also visit the underwater ecological corridor, but unfortunately the facility was under repair when we visited.

In addition to Angsana, there are other newer hotels in Xixi Paradise, such as Sheraton, Banyan Tree, etc. There are also many accommodation options near the wetland park. When choosing, you should look for ones that are within walking distance to Gaozhuang and Fudi. If it is really a bit far, just take a taxi!

The wetland park has a paid area. The nearest entrance to Xixi Paradise is Zhoujia Village. It costs more than ten yuan to take a taxi there. The entrance fee is 80 yuan and the battery boat is 60 yuan. If you plan to visit for a short time or do not plan to take a boat, or have no interest in the original ecology, you don’t need to visit. It is enough to stroll around the free area and check in.

Xixi Wetland Park is very large and has many entrances and exits. Be sure to ask the front desk which entrance to go to before departure.
